Here in Barcelona you have a lot of transportation options. From buses from where you can enjoy the view to the metros where the view is none but you get fast everywhere you need.

We are going to divide the section in 3 groups:
1st group: COMBINE TICKET Metro, buses, railways, and trams.
2nd group: RODALIES/RENFE suburban trains.
3rd group: FGC Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat de Catalunya – Catalunian railways.
4th group: Taxis and other services
1st group:COMBINE TICKET Metro, day buses and night buses (Bus Nit that have the “N” before the number), railways L6 / L7 / S1 / S2, and trams.

TRANSPORTATION TICKETS: The ticket you will take depends on the frequency and distance you need to cover. Let’s start!
* Important to know that if an inspector asks for your ticket and identification, and you don’t have the ticket, you will get a penalty fee of 100 euros.

BUT, before going to the appointment, you should have the following steps done:

> REGISTER AT JoTMBé
> DOWNLOAD AND COMPLETE THE AUTHORIZATION FORM
After making sure you have all this done you can go to the office you schedule the appointment. You must select the following, as shown in the picture below.

Then you will recharge the card with the plan ticket you want.
In each plan you can choose the zones, here we leave you a map of the zones. Again, depending on the distances you need to do.
As you can see, Barcelona is ZONE NUMBER 1 – So here you have some relevant options.
T-usual: with this ticket you can get to every bus, metro, and Tram inside Barcelona during ONE MONTH, that starts the moment you get through one of any station entrance. It will ask for your identification number, so you should take it with you (or have a picture in the phone) in case any inspector asks for it in any line. Check the map, you will see it also works to go to Castelldefels, Sant Cugat and Montgat. Valid for Aeroport T1 and Aeroport T2 metro stations on line L9 Sud.
T-casual: with this ticket you can get to every bus, metro, and Tram inside Barcelona ONLY 10 JOURNEYS, that starts the moment you get through one of any station entrance. In the case of one-zone cards, passengers have 75 minutes between the first and last validation when changing lines or mode of transport. This time increases by 15 minutes for each zone. Not valid for Aeroport T1 and Aeroport T2 metro stations on line L9 Sud.
Cannot be used simultaneously by more than one person, but it can be used by different people at different times. For example you can use the pass in the morning and anyone you give it to can use it in the afternoon.
T-familiar (family): A multi-person travel card valid for 8 journeys in 30 consecutive days from the first validation. In the case of one-zone cards, passengers have 75 minutes between the first and last validation when changing lines or mode of transport. This time increases by 15 minutes for each zone. Not valid for Aeroport T1 and Aeroport T2 metro stations, online L9 Sud.
The following plans are ONLY available in T-Mobilitat plastic card.
T-16: is a travel card for one zone for children and teenagers aged from 4 to 16 (up to 31 December of the year of their 16th birthday), personalized with the user’s name and documentary proof of identity. It allows for unlimited free travel while the card remains valid. It is valid for the zone of the residence of the minor. If the minor lived in ring 1, the T-16 can also be used for the Aeroport T1 and Aeroport T2 metro stations of Line L9 Sud. Only available for T-mobilitat. (plastic card).
– To be between 4 and 16 years old (up to the 31 December of the year of the 16th birthday).
– To be officially registered as a resident of one of the municipalities that falls under the authority of the Metropolitan Transport Area of Barcelona. You can check which municipalities these are on the zone map of the integrated fare system.
The T-16 ticket is personal and non-transferable and needs to be validated each time any transport service is used.
It must be accompanied the holder’s DNI/NIE/passport/family book (or a photocopy of any of these official documents) as proof of identity. In situations where the travel pass makes reference to the family book, the pass also must be accompanied by the DNI/NIE/passport of one of the named holders of the family book (or a photocopy).
2nd group: RODALIES/RENFE suburban trains. R1, R2, R2 north, R2 south, R3, R4, R7, R8. All the long distance trains you can take from Plaza Catalunya/ Clot/ Passeig de Gracia/ Sants Station and so, towards any destination you would like to go.
- Look at the metro zones division. If you live in a zone 2 or higher, you will need a combine ticket plan, that you can use through your T-mobilitat card. You only need to add the zones, and you will be able to take also the trains Renfe Rodalies or any other transport inside that area.. (You can see the price in each example plan in the metro description)
- If you already have a zone 1 ticket, and you would like to go outside the zone 1 you will need to buy a ticket apart only of Renfe Rodalies. Here we show who the ticket looks like:
